Wong Nai Siong (1849-1924) born in China Fujian, GuiChin district. Baptism in age 18, a missionary (The Methodist Episcopal Church) and an China politics reform follower. After Wong exam the Rajang river, he went back to China, and recruit 1,118 man and hundreds families members, follower of the church to Sibu.

When Wong return to Fujian, he founds "Fujian daily" with Lian Hen (Father of former vice president of Taiwan, Lian Zhan). 1906 , he return to Singapore, joining Tongmenghui. 1907, Wong help plan Chaozhou Huanggang Uprising.

Orphaned references in Sibu, Sarawak

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Sibu, Sarawak's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Sibu, Sarawak → Sibu — I do not know who moved Sibu to Sibu, Sarawak in the first place, but for those using Wikipedia search will have an intention that the first instance of Sibu shall refer to the town itself and therefore should not have added Sarawak in the article title (please refer to Kuching, Bintulu and Miri). Therefore, I propose to revert the redirection of the title of this article (Sibu, Sarawak) back to Sibu to follow suit with the 3 other major municipalities in Sarawak.CoolCityCat (talk) 04:49, 10 May 2010 (UTC)

I think that is a good idea. There should be a uniformity in naming the cities and towns in Sarawak. In addition to that, Google search of "Sibu" returned the first result as "Sibu, Sarawak", followed by "Sibu Island" in Johor, Malaysia.Cerevisae (talk) 00:11, 12 May 2010 (UTC)
