What is said here about Pluvinel and that he used shoulder in arround the pilars is for my taste wrong. You can't do shoulder in arround the pilars. Only hindquatters out is possible!Conversano Isabella (talk) 20:19, 3 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

references[edit]

references and links to the german and french wikipedia added. --Auguste Bolte (talk) 15:44, 14 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Had to toss them for two reasons. 1) We can't use one wiki as a reference to another wiki, and 2) clicking on the links didn't bring up an actual article anyway.  ;-) Montanabw(talk) 02:26, 15 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

thank you for the hints, also an my talk page. ad 1) why can't articles of other wikis be quoted: they are from different authors and so just another source, aren't they? there can be additional information, useful grafics etc. why ignore them? ad) the article in the german wikipedia: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schulterherein. i don't know why the link didn't work. --Auguste Bolte (talk) 22:58, 15 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well, that's why I suggest you go over to read wikipedia's guidelines/policies on verifiability of sources and citation of sources. I think that will clarify things quite a bit. There are some differences of opinion out there even in the guidelines, but all are unanimous that wikipedia information must be verified by reliable outside sources...wikipedia as a source for wikipedia is simply circular verification and as such, not worth much. However, you CAN pull the source material used in the other articles into this one. And I am also going to go hunting for a little tag we can use here on the talk page to let people know that a foreign language wiki was used as a base for some of the information (see the article Carl Raswan for an example of an article taken almost completely from German wikipedia, some day I will need to source it better with English language sources, but at least it's been translated). As for 2) If the image is in wikimedia commons, no problem adding it here too, it's a good one. However, it may have copyright problems, looks like permission is pending. All wikis are a bit fussy that way. (Sometimes I just give up and make my own images or take my own pictures! Sigh...) Montanabw(talk) 04:12, 16 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
