Help wanted[edit]

Hi. I'll try to get this ready for a DYK. It'd be great to get help with images, info or a section on Israel, and other info (e.g., relation between eruv and shomer shabbos neighborhood). Thanks. HG | Talk 02:33, 27 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Geography[edit]

This article refers to a National Survey but never says where. It does refer to a US Vice President candidate - is this article just about activities the USA? It does not match the history and current day activities of other countries, or on other continents. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cyberman The Tory (talkcontribs) 06:59, 5 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Bowling?[edit]

The observant Jew does not cook, spend money, write, bowl (especially not in league play), operate electrical devices, or do other activities prohibited on Shabbat.

This, while true as far as I know, is almost certainly a reference to The Big Lebowski, and it seems a bit inappropriate for the Wikipedia. 184.189.220.19 (talk) 10:33, 8 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Why cant Wikipedia be humorous while maintaining factual accuracy? Redface1 (talk) 21:38, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It appears to be very serious business: https://judaism.stackexchange.com/questions/17307/can-you-bowl-on-shabbos
