I have removed the following as per Shiro Saigo - Judo's secret weapon?

Saigō was adopted at a young age by another samurai, Saigō Tanomo from whom he learned Oshikiuchi.^[1]

^ Kano (2008) p20; Stevens and Shirata (1983) p5. Saigō Tanomo is also thought to be the teacher of Takeda Sokaku, developer of Daitō-ryū Aiki-jūjutsu and who in turn was the teacher of Morihei Ueshiba, founder of Aikidō
