Why do we consider the "Higgaion blog" as a reliable source ? Chris Heard is an "Associate Professor of Religion", not an expert on archeology or epigraphy... doesnt that break wikipedia rules ? just because there is no scholarly works on this seal doesnt mean that wikipedia has to quote bloggers ! I suggest to remove his theories or at least group them in a paragraph indicating his qualifications --Squallgreg (talk) 12:21, 16 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I consider Higgaion a reliable source because its content generator is a reliable person. Wikipedia's content does not need to come from an expert in a particular field. (By the way, what's an expert?) I think there's a distinct difference between a blogger with no academic credentials, & someone who not only has such credentials, but applies them in a scholarly manner. I won't mind anybody deleting this section, but I don't believe it violates the spirit of Wikipedia's rules. If Albert Einstein were still alive & had a blog & made an interesting observation on a scientific theory, would you delete it?--Funhistory (talk) 03:42, 19 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
