Thank you for looking for the references. I've tagged it so that other people can help if they have access to references. I'm wondering about the terminology; I've also heard "shelf ice" used for the ice of ice shelves. I added a disambiguation, but I'm still uncertain, especially since the Oxford English Dictionary takes "shelf ice" to mean land-fast sea ice (tuvaq)! HLHJ (talk) 18:23, 7 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
