Definite article[edit]

This article currently doesn't use a definite article for the band's name (aside from one sentence). This is out of step with the main article for the Four Tops and the others concerning them. I think it reads rather awkwardly the way it is - "a larger audience for Four Tops" for example - and that following the other articles would make sense. The group were usually credited just as Four Tops but not always - they are the Four Tops on the three 1970s albums with the Supremes and various other studio albums including Nature Planned It and Main Street People. That's not to mention various compilation albums. I think it's clear that they are commonly referred to this way in speech and writing. They may have usually been credited with the two words (the main article acknowledges this - the lead begins "The Four Tops") but I don't think that means we should never use The. It is much the same situation as Bee Gees and Eagles and I think this article would be improved by using "the Four Tops" where appropriate. Humbledaisy (talk) 02:21, 8 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
