Hello coffee lovers of Wikipedia, we (a group of UF ecology students) would like some feedback on changes we are proposing to make to the shade grown coffee page. Our proposed changes show up in bold lettering in the following sections. Some info formerly in the article has been deleted. Please keep in mind that we are still working on including proper citations and searching for appropriate images. Thank you for your feedback. Schatraw10 (talk)

Also be aware that we aim to delete the final portion of the original page about roasted coffee. We would like to delete this section because we feel it is unnecessary for this wiki page topic. We hope to make the focus of this page more on the ecological significance of shade coffee than on the sale of the product to the public.Schatraw10 (talk)

Hey all, thanks for viewing the new version of "shade-grown coffee" on wikipedia. We attempted to make several improvements and hope you feel they have indeed done so. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to discuss them with the wiki community here!Schatraw10 (talk) 18:10, 29 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Rainforest Alliance[edit]

It seems to me that the paragraph on Rainforest under 'Certification' seems a bit vague - do their guidelines actually guarantee shade-grown coffee? If not, or if it is not something they are considering, they shouldn't be featured in this article. Pechark (talk) 19:01, 28 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Quality of taste/consumer satisfaction[edit]

I'm missing any discussion of what impact shade grown coffee have on the taste of the coffee (an important justification for the existence of the coffee industry itself). — Preceding unsigned comment added by DJHellduck (talkcontribs) 21:58, 27 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Shade species[edit]

It is remarkable that an article on shade grown coffee makes no mention at all of even one shade tree species. Chiswick Chap (talk) 07:51, 1 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
