Agree This article should be merged with Sabbatical which is the English term. Any nuances can be worked out on that page.--Geewhiz (talk) 13:22, 20 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

What's wrong with Strong's?[edit]

This article lacks references. The only source currently cited for its definition is the web page of a local congregation in Great Falls, Montana. User:Debresser reverted my addition of a reference to the word shabbaton in Strong's concordance. shabbaton is a Biblical word and the Strong definition and the biblical uses that Strong cites suggest a broader meaning than Sabbatical, one more in accord with the modern usage. A Jewish source would be better, but I haven't found one yet.--agr (talk) 02:27, 9 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Debresser's right. Strong's is a very unreliable source. Alephb (talk) 17:52, 9 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
