I feel badly that wikipedia seems to think this entry is an 'advertisement'. Nothing could be further from the truth. I hope I am not stepping on toes of organizers, this race is extremely exclusive in that a potential runner can only 'get in' by returning their registration form within about two days after the applications are mailed out. Entry into this event is coveted, and trust me, they do NOT need to advertise. For safety reasons, number of entries is limited, and the organizers probably turn away many thousands of entries due to the field's being filled. This article attempts to assist runners who genuinely want to make it into this race and run it legally (versus as a 'bandit', or someone who runs without registering). This below article is written unselfishly to assist runners who want to 'get in'. Also must add that the original poster did a BRILLIANT job of explaining the race and giving insight to it.

This was not posted by me but probably a new user who didn't understand how WP works. I've moved it to the discussion page. --BHC 09:40, 4 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I did indeed intend this article only as a benefit to those looking for information on the race; previous to having participated myself, I found it impossible to find information anywhere online. I can also confirm that this is one race that most certainly does not require any advertising, and I reckon that's why it's so difficult to find any information elsewhere!
