Fate?[edit]

What was it's ultimate fate? Was she buried with it? Is it lost? Broken up? Destroyed? Jason Quinn (talk) 01:52, 13 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Jason Quinn: Sadly no ancient sources mention where it ended up. Since Romans were cremated its unlikely she would have been buried with it. Its possible it passed down to one of her children or grandchildren, or was sold by someone eventually.★Trekker (talk) 02:44, 13 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@*Treker: The Pearl Cyclopedia: Or Handy Compendium of Universal Information (1893) by E. D. Price mentions the pearl is "said to have been swallowed by Cleopatra". How she obtained it (or what happened to it afterwards...) are not mentioned. But it's a start of possible post Servilia ownership history. Jason Quinn (talk) 03:26, 14 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
