Neutrality[edit]

"It left behind an empty treasury, an undisciplined army and navy, and enormous domestic turmoil."

The neutrality of this claim would questionable even with supporting references. In addition to this, given that this article is about the self-denying ordinance rather than the Legislative Assembly that followed, it would be nice to see a more neutral and encyclopaedic explanation of how the ordinance may have resulted in a weak Legislative Assembly. However the idea of enormous domestic turmoil (especially in the context of the French Revolution) seems unjustified. Negligible mass (talk) 14:14, 26 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
