COI, promotional editing[edit]

This page is not written like an advertisement. Please tell explain what this would be advertising. This page gives the basic history and description of the program. Also, the "conflict of interest" is a complete fabrication. Everything on this page is cited. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jake.trimble (talkcontribs) 14:05, October 19, 2009

The article is written in a very promotional style. It reads more like a grant application than an encyclopedia article. If I can make time, I will make a stab at toning it down.
The conflict of interest is pretty clear. The SeaPerch website says that it is hosted by the "Fulcrum Corporation." Jake Trimble is an employee of the Fulcrum Corporation. Jake Trimble's Twitter status lists him as "working on the #seapearch website." Jake Trimble attended the SeaPerch Stakeholders Conference in Hawaii in August 2009. If you are paid to work on the SeaPerch website, you have a conflict of interest with Wikipedia's goals. It's probably better if you don't edit this article.
