Portugal[edit]

Schistosoma haematobium existed historically in the far South of Portugal (Algarve). It was never common, but can be considered erradicated today. There aren't any cases for years, and cases found in African immigrants are rare enough to be published as curiosities. 194.65.151.53 (talk) 16:14, 2 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Aaa[edit]

I removed the reference to "aaa", but since the basis for haematuria being recorded in Ancient Egyptian medical papyri seems to be from translating "aaa" as such, the whole first sentence of the History section may need to be removed. Further sources confirming this interpretation among scholars would be appreciated, as the idea that "aaa" meant bloody urine is found in older academic sources.
