Scammonin I versus all scammonins[edit]

There are (at least) eight types of scammonin, I through VIII, as characterised by Noda N, Kogetsu H, Kawasaki T, and Miyahara K in the early 1990s. This article has always had an internal inconsistency of referring to scammonin in the lede but scammonin I in the infobox, and was eventually moved to Scammonin I in 2014. However, there is no corresponding article for any other scammonin, or for scammonin in general.

Given the dearth of information about scammonin, this article should probably be moved back to Scammonin and rewritten to be general by someone with domain knowledge. --pmj (talk) 12:53, 26 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I would do it, but I know nothing about chemistry (and don't have access to the research articles). Also not sure how we can resolve the infobox problem, as it would seem to limit us to just one chemical compound per article. --pmj (talk) 22:41, 27 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
