What should I do?
Speedy deletions at commons tend to take longer than they do on Wikipedia, so there is no rush to respond. If you feel the deletion can be contested then please do so (commons:COM:SPEEDY has further information). Otherwise consider finding a replacement image before deletion occurs.

File:Santos Futebol Clube - name.ogg Nominated for speedy Deletion

What should I do?

Don't panic; deletions can take a little longer at Commons than they do on Wikipedia. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion (although please review Commons guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Commons Undeletion Request

10,000 goals record - clarification needed

Article says "On January 20, 1998, Santos became the first in the history of football to reach the milestone of 10,000 goals, scored by Jorginho.", but the ref used looks barely like a WP:RS and it's unclear to me the context of this. Is it in the world? Is it in Brazil? Is it league goals/friendly goals/cup goals/total goals... I'd like to clarification and a properly reliable source for this. The Rambling Man (talk) 14:21, 23 August 2011 (UTC)

This really needs further discussion, not just one editor continually removing the tag. The Rambling Man (talk) 11:00, 29 August 2011 (UTC)
Mildly better now we have a reliable source for the 10,000 goals mark, but nothing anywhere says "in any category". How can that be proven? Amateur clubs could easily have beaten Santos to that number. The Rambling Man (talk) 11:13, 29 August 2011 (UTC)

Edit request from Ilikeeatingwaffles, 7 September 2011

Currently the kits in the infobox contravene Template:Football kit by having logos on the shirts - including a possible copyvio with the manufacturer's logo. A change to for the home shirt and for the away should work. Ilikeeatingwaffles (talk) 13:32, 7 September 2011 (UTC)

Edit request

Please review this article, as its English is ambiguous and littered with errors. It has the appearance of a Google Translate job, with text copied from a Portuguese-language Santos archive. "...they beated Naviraiense by 10x0, wich gave them the status of Santástico..." 31.205.23.69 (talk) 19:13, 14 December 2011 (UTC)
