Name change[edit]

I think Santa Barbara Zoological Gardens should be merged here because even the logo of the Zoo calls it the Santa Barbara Zoo not Zoological Gardens. --Dakart 21:16, 19 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction Edit[edit]

The Santa Barbara Zoo is located on 30 acres of coastal land overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Santa Barbara, California. It was built on the site of what was known as the Child Estate. The Santa Barbara Zoo is home to 146 species of animals, with more than 500 animals exhibited in naturalistic habitats including Masai Giraffes, Chilean Flamingos and African Lions.
