Australian actor[edit]

Despite being born in England, Sam Worthington is an Australian actor, not an "English-Australian" actor. He moved to Australia at the age of six, grew up in Australia, and has been an Australian citizen for his entire acting career.--Forward Unto Dawn 11:26, 3 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Consequently, I've added this edit comment next to "Australian" in the opening paragraph: "<!--"Australian" was discussed. Please do not change to "English-Australian" without first discussing at the talk page.-->" --Forward Unto Dawn 11:27, 3 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Wouldn't it be better if it was changed to English-Born Australian actor ? Rackshea (talk) 07:29, 13 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
English-born Australian actor and English-Australian actor are both factually correct, however the former is more appropriate and accurate as it specifically confirms that the subject was born in England and then emigrated to Australia. As opposed to the latter, which could be used interchangeably with the first but ambiguously states both English and Australian (without specifying which relates to birth, citizenship, ancestry etc). The former incorporates both his country of birth and his ethnicity/ancestry as well as his nationality and citizenship Tanbircdq (talk) 22:27, 29 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

How can Sam Worthington NOT have British nationality? He would had it by default at birth and would have had to have renounced it not to still have it... and that would seem to be a pointless thing to do... 86.177.94.238 (talk) 23:24, 11 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Avatar 4?[edit]

Umm, last I knew, this was supposed to be a trilogy. Why is there a fourth movie on here? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.4.60.28 (talk) 20:00, 1 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

In a television interview with one of the producers he stated that they are working on "three sequels", meaning Avatar 2, 3 and 4. I will work on finding a reliable source for this. Physicsguy2 (talk) 04:04, 30 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
EDIT: There is a lot of mention of Avatar 4, which will be a prequel. See the "Avatar" page, "Sequels" section.Physicsguy2 (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 04:08, 30 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

sam is Australian Not english[edit]

he is only born in england Then He Grew up And Lived All His Life In Australia — Preceding unsigned comment added by Saccyind (talkcontribs) 23:20, 31 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

But seemingly he lived the first six months of his life in England. So he hasn't lived "all his life in Australia". I think we're looking at English exceptionalism here. If a famous actor was born in Ireland to two Irish parents and lived the first part of his life there before moving to England and growing up there, would partisan Wikipedia editors ensure that his article prominently referred to him as "Irish" at every opportunity and linked the page to all manner of "Irish-" categories? You can be very certain that they would. So a little consistency is all I'm asking for. To my mind, Worthington's roots and the first part of his life are so solidly English that this needs acknowledging. It doesn't mean he can't be called an Australian - he should be, because he is one - but there is simply more to it than that. English-born Australian actor is ok, English-Australian actor is better and describes him accurately. Shiresman (talk) 05:07, 21 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sam was born in England to English parents, that makes him English. If i (An Italian born in Italy to Italian parents) moved to Australia id still be Italian. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.29.13.179 (talk) 00:41, 1 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Graduating John Curtin[edit]

This article contains the unsourced statement:

He attended John Curtin College of the Arts, a school specialising in the dramatic arts, located in Fremantle, Western Australia, where he studied drama but did not graduate."

I've scoured the internet for sources for this statement - I'm not saying there aren't any, but I've had a good look, and the only sources I could find where from the high school itself. Both of these sources said he graduated. http://www.jc.wa.edu.au/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/August-2009.pdf and http://www.jc.wa.edu.au/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/Behind-the-Curtin-Mag-Nov-2011.pdf. I'm not sure whether to consider these sources unreliable - even if he didn't graduate it's in the high school's best interests to report that he did. What are people's thoughts?

Call of Duty: Black Ops Remastered 2020?[edit]

Under the "Video Games" section, there's a listing for a role in Call of Duty: Black Ops Remastered. Was this game ever actually announced? I personally can't find any articles officially confirming it and there is no source, so I don't know if it should be there.
