Criteria:

Well-written:

(a) the prose is clear, concise, and understandable to an appropriately broad audience; spelling and grammar are correct;

and

(b) it complies with the Manual of Style guidelines for lead sections, layout, words to watch, fiction, and list incorporation.

Verifiable with no original research:

(a) it contains a list of all references (sources of information), presented in accordance with the layout style guideline;

(b) reliable sources are cited inline. All content that could reasonably be challenged, except for plot summaries and that which summarizes cited content elsewhere in the article, must be cited no later than the end of the paragraph (or line if the content is not in prose);

and

(c) it contains no original research.

Broad in its coverage:

(a) it addresses the main aspects of the topic;

and

(b) it stays focused on the topic without going into unnecessary detail (see summary style).

Neutral: it represents viewpoints fairly and without editorial bias, giving due weight to each.

Stable: it does not change significantly from day to day because of an ongoing edit war or content dispute.

"The Guinness Book of Records lists a Saluki as being the fastest dog, reaching a speed of 68.8 kilometres (42.8 mi) per hour." Yes, but the source cited is from 1996; does that still apply in the newest version of Guinness, or should it be specified that it was in the most recent edition at that time? The online version of The Guinness Book of Records only lists the saluki as the oldest breed http://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/records-2000/oldest-dog-breed/. Of interest to me would be, how long a Saluki can keep it's pace? 79.247.181.177 (talk) 20:52, 31 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Neutrality (some of these might just be nitpicking, but I want to make sure):
- "Brigadier General Frederick Lance of the 19th Lancers, who, with his adventurous wife, Gladys..." Isn't the "adventurous" part getting a little story-like?
- "...caused by Howard Carter's spectacular discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb in late 1922." Yes, it was a spectacular discovery, but that just doesn't sound to me like something an encyclopedia would say. Other than that, and a few fixes I made, it looks pretty good.
