References[edit]

Not making a plug to my site, but I know web rot is making references near impossible to find, SM Sabersite it's currently being built with all the info me and another friend had saved up on our PCs for years. SaberJ2X (talk) 23:54, 9 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Untitled[edit]

The "Saber Marionette J to X" section contained jibberish. All I can do at the moment is put in some not-quite jibberish. Hopefully someone can edit this to look pretty and add in actual content.

If no changes come, I'll add in a review and synopsis after actually watching the series.

Separate Pages Wherever Appropriate[edit]

There should be a separate wikipedia entry for each of anime series, OVAs, etc. so that each one can be further discussed in detail. I'll go ahead and create the Saber Marionette J page and link back to this one.--64.105.40.25 05:22, 4 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Accuracy[edit]

Seems there's various things wrong with the current article, but as there's a bunch of stuff in the history I have no idea about, and no citations for the information, I hesitate to gut. Bar the unverifiablity, it seems to me that the following statements are wrong, or at least misleading:

  • "originally created by Satoru Akahori" - and probably Hiroshi Negishi
  • "began with a short manga story he published in the October 1994 issue of Gekkan Dragon Magazine" - manga not story? if manga, who drew it, and that ain't the right Dragon mag...
  • Lots of missing info... on... stuff. People and creators of bits, for starts.

What I dug up in a quite poke around. The ja.wikip article begins: セイバーマリオネットあかほりさとるねぎしひろし原作... (by Satoru Akahori and Hiroshi Negishi), which is what's in the R OVA credits: 原作 あかほりさとる / ねぎしひろし

And on Akahori's page it gives:

SMガールズ セイバーマリオネットR (SMR books)
著/長谷川勝己 (Work: Katsutoshi Hasegawa ja.wikip)
原案/あかほりさとる・ねぎしひろし (Original plan: Akahori/Negishi)
イラスト/斉藤卓也 (Illustration: Takuya Saitō)
SMガールズ セイバーマリオネットJ (SMJ books)
著/あかほりさとる (Work: Akahori)
イラスト/ことぶきつかさ (Illustration: Tsukasa Kotobuki ja.wikip)
セイバー・マリオネットJ (SMJ manga)
原作/あかほりさとる (Story: Akahori)
作画/琴義弓介 (Art: Yumisuke Kotoyoshi Homepage Work - warning, H)

Basically needs someone who knows the series to look over and check the article isn't completely nuts. --zippedmartin 01:42, 23 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The overview of the story seems fairly correct... At least, it is correct following the American DVD series (except for the authors and stuff, I have no clue as to the accuracy of that. Drak Swordsman 18:01, 4 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Someone please check out the boards.jp wiki. They have an article on Saber Marionette, maintained by the Saber Marionette community there.

Saber marionette R[edit]

The only information on Saber Marionette R is it's spot on the timeline and cast. Shouldn't someone add a seperate page for that just like how the other parts of the seires do? Or at least some kind of plot synopsis or summary. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.106.128.213 (talk) 04:07, 2 April 2007 (UTC).[reply]

If anyone wants me to, I can make the page (or summary), I've seen the OAV seires....I'll maybe startSyarasu 04:11, 2 April 2007 (UTC)Syarasu[reply]
I've made edits to the page. I added something about the Saber Marionette R plot and removed that huge gap under "Timeline". Syarasu 21:16, 2 April 2007 (UTC)Syarasu[reply]

Before Or After?[edit]

Does Saber marionette R take place before or after J? Anime News Network.com says that it's after J to X and here it says it is before J.

It was made before but in-universe, takes place after.--Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 02:27, 29 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

New series?[edit]

See Saber Marionette 2 "Shiritsu Oedo Gakuen Koubouki" and Saber Marionette i ~ Neo Gene ~. How reliable is this...? --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 02:27, 29 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, it is a very rare manga of the series, It was only published in Dragon Magazine Monthly in the 2000 October magazine. I've been trying to have a copy of this magazine to translate it with a friend. SM SaberSite - SM2 I'm the co-author of the site - I'm very bad on how to format this to wiki specs SaberJ2X (talk) 23:48, 9 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
