Moved from the mainspace, this appears to refer to the 1949 vessel of the Ellerman Lines -
W T boilers (water tube boilers), single screw geared turbines, left for North America 18.2.1955 returning 26.7.1955. Source, my husband Michael James Manning was 3rd engineer, working for Ellerman Lines on the City boats Florence, Lyons, Dundee, Brooklyn, Chelmsford and Sydney from 1951 to 1957 as 5th to 2nd engineer.
