Merge Methionine adenosyltransferase[edit]

This stub may be better placed if Methionine adenosyltransferase was merged into S-adenosylmethionine synthetase enzyme. S-adenosylmethionine synthetase enzyme explores three different protein domains which form this enzyme. So they would merge well together. How can I merge these two articles? I do not mind the merger per se, IF these are the same enzymes - but to me the naming is a bit confusing. I knew (or read) about the enzyme being named "Methionine adenosyltransferase", but on wikipedia there is now this name more prominent. Hopefully someone could research a little bit and then confirm which name is more commonly used in the scientific literature. Perhaps there are even some scripts that can quickly yield which variant is more common WITHIN scientific primary literature only. 2A02:8388:1604:F600:3AD5:47FF:FE18:CC7F (talk) 14:18, 29 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Mechanism[edit]

This article has been cleaned up, but doesn't address the mechanisms of enzymatic activity. I can guess how SAM ends up with a (+)charge on its S, but I'd like Wikipedia to tell me exactly how.
