Please indicate why a performance is notable[edit]

There are so many performances at the venue that this article should adopt the same criteria as Madison Square Garden for determining what is notable. If you say it is notable, say WHY. Otherwise it is just a meaningless and VERY INCOMPLETE list.Americasroof (talk) 19:06, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I got to the "best known for Fiona Apple" statement, and quit reading. The writer is obviously some young rocker and captive of the youth subculture, who is ignorant of the history of this building, and believes popular music began with The Beatles. eelb53Eelb53 (talk) 04:24, 7 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Name of venue[edit]

From the 1945 postcard, the 1957 Time story and the image of the marquee, the venue seems to be named "Roseland," not "Roseland Ballroom." Unless we can find cites stating the latter, we'd need to use the former. Discussion, please. --Tenebrae (talk) 14:46, 26 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

At the current website, the present name is given as "Roseland Ballroom." Archived versions of the site call it both that and simply "Roseland", I suppose the article title can go either way but the lead should reflect both the current and historic names. --Tenebrae (talk) 14:50, 26 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
