- The article currently says that the character appeared "during the early 1970s" but other sources suggest he first appeared in 1969. [1]
Actor
- The article currently says that Jerry Nelson voiced the character after Matt Robinson left the show in 1972, but another source says that Robinson worked on Roosevelt Franklin material even after leaving the show, until 1974. [2]
Name of puppet
- It might seem obvious that the character’s name was inspired by that of the 32nd U.S. President, but could it also have been a reference to the radio preacher named Roosevelt Franklin Sutton Jr., who died in 2005? [3]
School
- The character seemed to be a student at Roosevelt Franklin Elementary School but it is quite odd that the school would have the same name as one of its students.
Influence on “Arrested Development”
African-American culture
- It seems that many of the character’s segments were intended to reference African-American culture, such as when the character corrects some misconceptions about Africa. The Wikipedia article The Robinson family states that the character was removed after critics found his persona to be a stereotype. This is still debated in Internet blogs and forums. [4][5][6][7]

I think Roosevelt Franklin's mother was one time Maxine in the song "Baby Brother"[edit]
After hearing a song performed by Little Chrissy and Maxine called "Baby Brother" on a website called Sesame Streem, I at least have deep suspicion that Maxine could be Roosevelt Franklin's mother performing that Baby Brother song with Little Chrissy.
