Failed "good article" nomination[edit]

This article failed good article nomination. This is how the article, as of February 4, 2007, compares against the six good article criteria:

1. Well written?: Lead is too short and does not summarise the article
Sentences are very short and do not flow as you read
2. Factually accurate?: references are there but they are not reliable and need better formatting.
The stencilrevolution article was written by him and so cannot be relied on.
The Grass roots ref mentions him only as an aside I'm not sure what the book Stencil graffiti capital : Melbourne is backing up
Must have references from books, newspapers, online news etc. as it's very thin at the moment in this regard.
3. Broad in coverage?: missing biographical information on him.
Needs information on the art he's done.
Article reports brushes with the police and there needs to be expansion of this
mainstream media coverage not mentioned
4. Neutral point of view?: unforunately as most of the information seems backed to a source that Rone wrote it's hard to regard the end product as NPOV. I'm sure that there are conflicting views on him but with a onedimensional source it's not possible to discuss it.
5. Article stability? Seems stable but growing - this is good
6. Images?: Like the street art but would be good to have a picture of tyRone

When these issues are addressed, the article can be resubmitted for consideration. Thanks for your work so far. --Peripitus (Talk) 10:44, 4 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thankyou for your time and efforts, Peripitus, I will follow your advice.

To do:[edit]

1. Well written?: Lead is too short and does not summarise the article
Sentences are very short and do not flow as you read
  • Work to fix this, find info from obscure souses and cite them. Dfrg.msc

:2. Factually accurate?: references are there but they are not reliable and need better formatting. :The stencilrevolution article was written by him and so cannot be relied on. :The Grass roots ref mentions him only as an aside I'm not sure what the book Stencil graffiti capital : Melbourne is backing up :Must have references from books, newspapers, online news etc. as it's very thin at the moment in this regard. ::* Work hard to fix this, find books, newspapers, online news (difficult. Do it anyway. Dfrg.msc

3. Broad in coverage?: missing biographical information on him.
Needs information on the art he's done.
Article reports brushes with the police and there needs to be expansion of this
mainstream media coverage not mentioned
  • Biographical information is extremely hard to find as he is a Graffiti Artist, wanted by police. Expand on artworks, notable pieces and re-occurring themes. Dfrg.msc

:4. Neutral point of view?: unforunately as most of the information seems backed to a source that Rone wrote it's hard to regard the end product as NPOV. I'm sure that there are conflicting views on him but with a onedimensional source it's not possible to discuss it. v::* Fix this. Dfrg.msc

:5. Article stability? Seems stable but growing - this is good

6. Images?: Like the street art but would be good to have a picture of tyRone
  • More images, of his work, get free use ones. Difficult to get one of him, he's very determined not to be identified. Dfrg.msc
