Notability[edit]

There is no question as to the notability of Rockamerica. The firm, and it's owner Ed Steinberg, absolutely broke the ground for music video in the USA, before even the existence of MTV. There must be documentation out there. Wwwhatsup 19:02, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Retail Entertainment Design[edit]

I have reversed changes today by an anonymous editor, that noted the current corporate status of Rockamerica (apparently now merged into the R.E.D. Corp), removed the name of the founder, and added linkspam. This is not important information. What is important is that the firm, and founder Steinberg, uniquely contributed to the development of music video and were the prime method of it's distribution in the early 80's prior to MTV. It would be a shame if the article never gets written, or deleted - which, if it is seen to be promoting current activities rather than describing historical ones - may well happen. Rewrite[edit]

Having obtained a scan of a 1980 Billboard front-page story on the company I've rewritten the article, and introduced a couple of more sources. The notability template has been removed by it's author. Life is good. Wwwhatsup (talk) 02:25, 29 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
