Serious NPOV problems

This article used to be defended against editors clearly in league with the subject, but I see now that the defense may have succumbed in December 2013. There are serious problems with the December edits: Why place a way-too-exhaustive list of awards for the work an architect has done before **naming** the work he has done? Why remove a header that clearly demarcates the end of this praise and the beginning of controversies that surround the subject? And why place a gallery--which almost always appear at the bottom of articles, and which here essentially functions as a portfolio--ahead of details about a construction site death and zoning violations? Excellent, thank you. A peek at earlier versions of this article makes it clear what a shift it has taken. While the previous era may well have been too harsh in some areas (eg, all suits against Scarano concerning the worker deaths were dismissed, so I'm not sure they should have been so prominent), the current version is even more egregiously biased: specifically, the info about violations and city claims used to be more balanced. And the Infobox needs some attention: who says his style is "sustainable"? Does he have a LEED track record?

Disclosure: I am a Brooklyn resident but otherwise have no affiliation with the subject, his opponents, his employees, or his buildings. I have never heard of Scarano outside of this article. I think others editing here should disclose such affiliations in accordance with Wikipedia's Conflict of Interest policies. MatthewBurton (talk) 13:10, 25 April 2014 (UTC)

The subject's attention to this page seems dormant for now. I'm tempted to remove the NPOV banner--its current state doesn't require it, and several edits over the last few days appear safe for now--but given this article's track record, it will continue to be vandalized. Ban on new building filings

Further evidence about the systemic bias in this article is the removal of details surrounding the NYC Department of Buildings' revocation of his filing rights. The details should be added back in and edited to include the most up-to-date details; the latest I could find on the matter is the previous link. MatthewBurton (talk) 13:32, 25 April 2014 (UTC)

I've added this info back to the article. The research trail goes cold in 2011, so if anyone has newer info, please add it. I also added this fact to the introductory section, because I believe his current status is very relevant to readers, and should follow a sentence that suggests he is in good standing.
