GA Review[edit]

Article (edit | visual edit | history) · Article talk (edit | history) · Watch

The article looks pretty good, except for some minor stuff that I changed, such as the number of columns in the references section. I'd pass the article, but I'm curious: is it at all possible to expand the Early life and education or Legacy sections? If so, it would be best to do so. If not, then this review is pretty short.

Some points worth mentioning:
  • The lede should either be all-referenced, or without references at all.
Done References have been moved to body text from lede. Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 17:25, 13 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • The image of Martson should be cropped to remove the caption and whitespace at the bottom. I can probably do this in a short while.
 Done
Thank you. I did not know how to manipulate the photo cropping. Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 17:25, 13 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • As I said above, expansion of the two shorter sections would be nice if possible.
Done I have included a summary sentence at the beginning of the "legacy" section. Unfortunately, I have used all of the material I can find regarding Marston's early life and education. Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 17:25, 13 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Ref. 5 points to a source that details Martson's role in desegregating the Medical Center. Instead of pointing the reader to a separate source, can you include that further information within the article?
Done Per your suggestion, I have expanded the Ole Miss desegregation section with additional details and expanded footnotes. Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 17:25, 13 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Moving the second image over to the left or up slightly might remove the squishing of the of the two sections. Purely aesthetics.

If those can be fixed or I'm in error, then the article is an easy pass. Congrats, and thanks for an interesting article. Reviewer: Lәo(βǃʘʘɱ) 03:29, 9 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
