Three on a Rope[edit]

I recommend moving that to external links. I see now that item has two references. Only one is needed if it covers the sentence. I believe you wanted it in external links too. —¿philoserf? (talk) 15:23, 31 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for this suggestion. Room for one more (talk) 16:02, 31 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

COI Statement[edit]

This article was written by myself and my sister about my father's early rock climbing and ski mountaineering career. We are aware of the conflict of interest issue. My father died in 1996 so although we as authors are related to the subject of this article, neither he nor we have anything to gain from its publication. We have attempted to make the article as factual as possible and to include numerous verified references.

removing "multiple issues" template[edit]

The use of the template seems ridiculous to me. Brinton was one of the major founding figures of rock climbing and mountaineering in the US. The template complains that the information is too detailed to be of interest. Well, the information in the article is of course of no interest to people who have no interest in rock climbing or mountaineering. I'm removing the template.--Fashionslide (talk) 22:45, 30 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

fixing incorrect FA date for Fingertip Traverse[edit]

The original version of the article gave the date for the first ascent of this route as Aug. 19, 1936, which would have made it the first technical route on the rock. Actually there was an attempt on Aug. 23 and then a successful FA on Sep. 19. It looks like Deborah Brinton mixed up the two dates. The source for this is Mugelnoos No. 68. I'll add an appropriate citation in the text.--76.169.126.143 (talk) 21:35, 13 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
