Foreign airlines flying into South Africa[edit]

Many airlines that flew into Harare also had operations to South Africa during the period cited. By the nineties, apartheid had been officially abolished and therefore airlines did not have reasons not to fly to South Africa. The article implies that South Africa was the final destination for much of the traffic that flew into Harare Airport, which is incorrect or at least needs verification. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mikemut (talkcontribs) 09:45, 13 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Foreign Airlines flying into South Africa[edit]

Quantas was one of the bigger international Airlines flying into Harare rather than S. Africa due to apartheid. The Australian government maintained the Boeing 747 service well after overseas airlines (Quantas included) resumed direct Johannesburg flights in the early 1990's. Unfortunately these events happened just at the start of the internet age and there are therefore no internet references. Dglschapman (talk) 12:28, 22 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
