Subspecies[edit]

Avibase and Birds of North America Online (http://bna.birds.cornell.edu/bna/species/221) both list the nominate ssp (Eugenes fulgens fulgens) as the northern population and the Costa Rican/Panamanian ssp as E. f. spectabilis. This is the reverse of what it said at the beginning of the Wikipedia article. I edited the article to bring it into line with these sources; if anyone knows differently, please let us know.
