These two topics are somewhat related, but also different. In addition the names given to the techniques are both not very precise. So there should be at least a links from one to the other, maybe as a see also. The techniques are rather similar: This article is about measuring elastic constants of solids - whereas the Acoustic resonance spectroscopy is investigating mainly liquids and gases.--Ulrich67 (talk) 13:05, 31 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Please note, that the term Resonant ultrasound spectroscopy or resonance acoustic spectroscopy is also used in the industrial field of Quality Control as a non destructive testing method. It is of high importance for inspecting metallic parts - and it is a method with long history: Famous is the quality control of bells, where you check the quality through the sound of the bell by ringing the bell. The method is e.g. widely used in Automotive industry to check integrity of motor blocks... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.124.114.42 (talk) 16:08, 2 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
