No longer cooperating - Recipero's ReportMyLoss, Immobilize.net, Immobilise.com, tracechecker.com, NCIC, checkmend.com, nmpr.com not cooperating any more![edit]

Too much of a good thing, I guess - No longer cooperating: Recipero's ReportMyLoss, Immobilize.net, Immobilise.com, tracechecker.com, NCIC, checkmend.com, nmpr.com - They are not cooperating as they have in the past! Here's how I received the bad news:

Hello,

Thank you for your email and bringing this to our attention. The Trace service is only designed for the checking of NCIC stolen data and no longer includes records from Immobilise. If the items with these serial numbers have been stolen then we recommend you report them directly to your local police agency and check to ensure they have recorded the numbers in the NCIC stolen articles file. This will ensure the records will show on Trace checks.

Immobilise records now show in the CheckMEND due diligence checking system (www.checkmend.com), which is used by the second hand trade industry and members of the public and in the NMPR (www.nmpr.com) which is a system relatively new to the US and is used by law enforcement agencies. Both of these systems are designed to be more detailed and comprehensive than Trace, and have a much broader scope for identifying and tackling property crime and includes access to both US and international records.

In reviewing your ticket enquiry I noticed that there is still some out of date information showing on the Trace Checker website. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and please be assured I have raised this with our web development team to make sure this gets updated so that it does not cause confusion to others in the future.

Kind regards,
