At the time when Shekhar Suman signed this film, he had completed only one feature film- Utsav, with, then superstar, Rekha. But that film had not been released at the time. Therefore Shekhar signed this film for a very nominal amount but Utsav released before the release of this film and that helped in selling this film easily.
