The 1901 census lists a 'Raoul R. De Veulle'(sic) as a visitor in the London household of an actor called Roy Horniman; however it gives his age as 20 (i.e. born c. 1881, not 1889) and his birthplace as 'France (British Subject)'. Same man? Anyone know of a definite birthdate and place for him? RLamb (talk) 17:09, 26 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
A 1911 Times article on the Cronshaw blackmail case has Cronshaw identifying de Veulle (called 'Duvelle' in the Times report) as an actor aged '31 or 32 years of age'. (The Times, Friday, May 26, 1911; pg. 4; Issue 39595; col B 'Alleged Attempt To Blackmail. £10,000 Said To Have Been Demanded.') This age fits with the 1901 census entry but doesn't agree with the date given in the wiki article. I'm therefore changing the birth year in the article, until someone can come up with a better-sourced one.RLamb (talk) 09:14, 1 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
