Fair use rationale for Image:AlbinMichel KDcover.jpg[edit]

Image:AlbinMichel KDcover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Proposed merge with Panchatantra[edit]

Unclear notability of Ramsay Wood as author to justify a stand alone article. Promotional elements about the author in the article need to be addressed. The first two sections are really just summaries of what already is in Panchatantra - with Ramsay's thoughts added, giving it a POVFORK feel. The last three sections may be worthwhile additions best placed in Panchatantra as they talk more about the classical text and other modern interpretations (not Wood). The passages about Wood's work needs a clean up and review for neutrality. pseudonym Jake Brockman talk 07:13, 8 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment: Its unclear as to which article you want to be merged into which. The tags placed on both articles 1, 2 say that be merged into another one. I presume you want the article of Wood to be merged with Panchatantra. In that case, the discussion should happen at Talk:Panchatantra, the proposed host page. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {Talk / Edits} 11:05, 14 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Dharmadhyaksha: Sorry for the late response. I lost track of this. The proposal is indeed to salvage whatever is relevant from this article and merge into Panchatantra. I do not see an awful lot in the article about Wood that is actually about Wood or related to his work. So in essence, this would be a short paragraph in Panchatantra that mentions the work by Wood. Wood is then to redirect to Panchatantra. pseudonym Jake Brockman talk 21:01, 15 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose merge; revised mass-market publications and the referencing on the page suggest independent notability. Best to tidy up the Ramsay Wood page where it is. See also this edit where the merge template was removed on the Panchatantra page; the tone of the edit comment suggests a relevant view. Klbrain (talk) 08:44, 16 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
