Expansion[edit]

I have added a few headings that can do with some filling out - cast your eye over to Rail transport in Victoria for a way to detail the history without being a list of line opening dates, and to Rail transport in Victoria as well. Port Broughton[edit]

The Port Broughton line appears to have been isolated from other lines, particularly as hills get in the way.

The Port Broughton line may have been narrow gauge as it dates after the time (1875) when narrow gauge became the norm for most branch and minor railways.

Would the Port Broughton line have used wooden rails?
