A first note...[edit]

Hello Wikipedia!

When I first arrived on this page there was... practically nothing. This is my hometown in Iran and it makes me sad that there was only a single mention about the pistachio industry, the arid landscapes and deserts, and a half-baked history section with absolutely 0 references.

When the Farsi version of this page writes without any references or footnotes it's - in my opinion - considered cool. Go you for rebelling and not caring about Wikipedia guidelines. On the English page however... why would you add so much information without giving people any means of referencing it? Wikipedia doesn't do much, but at least it gives you a headway to find usable sources on a topic of interest. The way some of the sections look now, it seems like no effort was put into it. Jeez, even the Wikipedia page on Grand Rapids, a small town in Michigan with about the same population as Rafsanjan, has more pages than I would ever (want to) read.

Let's face it, Iran's on the international black-list. The least we could do is to provide the English-speaking public more critical information about our historical past, rather than providing a Wikipedia that doesn't fall too short of something you'd find on a tourist board.

Looking forward to seeing new edits. :)

POV Climate[edit]

The climate section of this article is not written in a neutral point of view:

  • "Rafsanjan has cold and freezing winters as well as hot and dried summers."
  • "The weather is hot in summer and cold in winter, days are warm and nights are cold in general."
