Removal of body double[edit]

An editor User:Hselect keeps removing referenced parts of the article, stating that s/he "removed info on stand in because she did not appear in the film." As the source in question requires a subscription, I have helpfully pasted it below:

"New Holland girl, 7, appears as body double and extra in Disney movie opening Wednesday, has her own premiere'

Sheridan Lowery can't wait for Disney's new movie to hit the big screen Wednesday.

The 7-year-old New Holland second-grader will be watching "Enchanted" closely to see if she can spot herself.

Sheridan is the body double for Rachel Covey, who plays Morgan Philip in "Enchanted," a movie that brings fairy tale characters to the Big Apple.

In the movie, Philip is the daughter of Robert Philip, played by Patrick Dempsey, a lawyer who runs into the fairy tale characters on New York's streets.

"You won't really see her on screen," said Lori Turoczi, Sheridan's mother. "You will see the back of her head and her hands and legs."

Turoczi explained that Sheridan was chosen to play Covey's body double because the two are very similar in size. "The body double steps in during scenes where the actor's face is not seen," she said. That way, the actor doesn't have to be on set for all of the shots.

Sheridan and her mother haven't seen the movie yet, but Turoczi said the back of Sheridan's head will be seen during a scene where Princess Giselle, played by Amy Adams, is hugging her.

"There is another scene where Patrick Dempsey is holding her. You can see her leg and foot in that one," Turoczi said.

The family is planning to hold a premiere for Sheridan Wednesday evening at Penn Cinemas in Lititz. "We're trying to make it special for her. We will have a red carpet and a reception before the movie," she said.

Sheridan is bringing five friends with her, and everyone will dress up. "Every little girl should have a chance to feel like a princess," her proud mother said.

Sheridan started her modeling career with In The Spotlight, 48 N. Christian St., and appeared in Bon-Ton advertisements. The agency forwarded her information to Steiner Studios in New York, which contacted the family, Turoczi said.

"It was a paid audition, so we decided to go [to New York]. During the interview, they lined four girls up with Rachel [Covey]," she said. "Sheridan is a pleasant, happy child wherever she is. I thought they'd see that."

The interview was the first time Sheridan was on a live set. "They called us back the next day and told us they wanted her as a body double. It was a great experience, and we are so excited they wanted her," she said.

The experience, while exciting, was time consuming. Sheridan made numerous trips to New York where she sat through hair and costume preparations even on days when they didn't use her.

While she was on set, she also was able to play an extra during a live shoot in New York's Chinatown.

"During a scene where Patrick Dempsey and Rachel come out of a karate studio in the rain, the extras are walking down the street. They featured Sheridan because she was on the set so much."

Turoczi said the entire experience was wonderful. "Amy Adams is a dear, and Patrick Dempsey was great. It was wonderful being part of the Disney experience."
