Blacklisted Link[edit]

The link crediting Rachel to Touched by an Angel no longer works and has been marked as blacklisted. I found an archive of the link that does work. Should this be added in its place? Biography - Information about children[edit]

Rachel's most notable achievements have come from needs she has tried to meet in her children's lives. As such, more information about each of her children should be added to the article. There is a wealth of information about the family online, so finding good citable sources should not be an issue. It is probably worthwhile to decide which pieces of information are most important to the article. Here are a few bullet points to get things going.

1) Laura - First child, but least known since Rachel only revealed her a few years ago. Rachel is Laura's birth mom, and Rachel's first song "Nobody Would Know" was written after Laura was adopted in a closed adoption.

2) Leah - Leah was born profoundly deaf. The family did not realize her deafness until she was 14 months old. She is the inspiration for Signing Time and stars in several of the series. Leah's journey with cochlear implants is featured in the documentary "Louder Than Words"

3) Lucy - Lucy was born with spina bifida and cerebal palsy. Lucy is what caused Rachel to realize that sign language can be beneficial to all children.

You could create a Personal life section, with a paragraph on each child. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 21:58, 21 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
 Good thought. Here are some additional items to consider researching and adding:
 * Awards
 * Concert tours
 * Upcoming projects
 * Signing Time Foundation
 * Leadership positions within national organizations (such as American Society for Deaf Children)
 * Involvement with National Down Syndrome Society
 * Involvement with Make-A-Wish Foundation
 * Signing Time Academy

Please keep in mind this isn't meant to be a WP:RESUME, but neutrally presented, so you may need to find some articles that aren't coming from her website or the organizations in which she is directly involved. Please also read WP:NOTADVERTISING. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 23:54, 24 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Makes sense. Not all of these things may be found to be noteworthy from enough secondary sources to be worth adding to the article. Even so, I thought it might be useful to put together a list of potential topic areas to flesh out the article. 38.108.59.142 (talk) 15:08, 25 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
