Removal of proposed deletion[edit]

I have removed the proposed deletion of this person - proposed for low notability. I note that the proposer is a resident of Dallas USA, understandable that the notoriety of R Kohn may not have spread to the USA. However R Kohn is a notable public figure around Australia, and has broadcast on the national public radio here for decades. Rachael Kohn, as a significant Australian public figure, is called on to moderate panels, comment on religious affairs and present awards.

Here are just a few recent examples:

Nominated as one of Australia's top 50 intellectuals http://www.dumbofeather.com/conversation/rachael-kohn-has-spirit/

Called to comment on a controversy in Australia's Jewish media: http://www.jewishnews.net.au/priest-blasted-over-israel-slur/40094

Panel moderator: http://www.onejustworld.com.au/Speakers/Rachael-Kohn

Called to write a national opinion column on Australia's hostage crisis in 2014: http://www.abc.net.au/news/2009-11-09/radical-muslim-cleric-goes-unchecked/1135594

External links[edit]

Some things just grow by incremental edits. The "External links" section, one of the optional appendices, had grown to 7 entries. Three seems to be an acceptable number and of course, everyone has their favorite to add for four links.
The problem is that none is needed for article promotion.
  • ELpoints #3) states: Links in the "External links" section should be kept to a minimum. A lack of external links or a small number of external links is not a reason to add external links.
  • LINKFARM states: There is nothing wrong with adding one or more useful content-relevant links to the external links section of an article; however, excessive lists can dwarf articles and detract from the purpose of Wikipedia. On articles about topics with many fansites, for example, including a link to one major fansite may be appropriate.
  • ELMIN: Minimize the number of links. --
  • ELCITE: Do not use {{cite web}} or other citation templates in the External links section. Citation templates are permitted in the Further reading section.
  • WP:ELBURDEN: Disputed links should be excluded by default unless and until there is a consensus to include them.
Trimmed "External links" and moved here for any possible discussions.
