Production[edit]

Is it fermented or distilled? Is it made from glutinous rice? Badagnani 10:47, 11 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It is distilled. It is made from any kind of rice.--Nguyen Binh Giang 14:18, 13 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Commercially available?[edit]

Is it commercially available? If so, where is it produced and what is the percent alcohol?

It is commercially available. It is produced by many unregistered household distilleries. The percent of alcohol is varied, but is 40 in general.--Nguyen Binh Giang 14:18, 13 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Appearance[edit]

Is it cloudy or clear in appearance? Badagnani 10:57, 11 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A bit cloudy in general. --Nguyen Binh Giang 14:18, 13 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Binh Giang, you are great! Badagnani 17:50, 13 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If it's distilled, why would it be cloudy? It's not normal for distilled beverage to be cloudy. Badagnani 21:56, 13 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Alternate name[edit]

Should rượu trắng be added as a synonym? I think it's just a generic name for clear distilled liquor, like baijiu (literally "white liquor"). Thus, the interwiki to rượu trắng doesn't seem exactly right because rượu đế carries the connotation of secrecy/illegality, while rượu trắng could be any kind of Vietnamese clear distilled liquor. Pronunciation[edit]

Can someone please add how to pronounce the name of this drink? I honestly have no idea. Alex of Canada (talk) 19:04, 14 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
