False Statements

There are many false statements in this article. Subway DOES toast their sandwiches, Subway DOES sell salads and soup, and unlike Quiznos, Subway DOES Bake their own bread in the store. Quiznos bread is all frozen.

Yea but all of Quiznos meats are freshly sliced and loaded with saturated fat and cholesterol, where as subway uses packeged meats that is good for you... so there plus quiznos is a hell of alot worse than subway! Boo-YAH!

The Name

Quiznos? Could they think of a worse name for a sub shop? Why don't they just cut the crap and call themselves Gay Men Eat Here Subs? ~Seanbaby

Bacon

I've worked at Quizno's since Feb 2005 as something to do while I'm at school and have since worked my way up to manager while I was home from school this past summer. NEVER have I seen anything called "baconaise". We do have a product called "Bacon Alfredo Sauce" that only goes on the "Chicken Carbonara" sandwich. If a sandwich gets mayo, its regular old mayo, no additives. Furthermore, the remaining chicken sanwiches get Ranch, Honey Bourbon Mustard, Honey Mustard, Chipole Mayo, or Zesty Grille sauce. Just saw a TV ad 4 October, 2006 wherein Quiznos proclaims that if thou art unhappy with the sandwich made for thee you get a second free sandwich. Isn't that nice. What if the second sandwich tastes worse than the first? I have tried their fare twice. That was enuff. The Mighty Obbop never returned. Heckaroni, I can concoct a better sandwich for half the cost. Cleanup

Despite the foregoing, the real problems with this article are the use of weasel words ("it has been suggested that..."), no explanation of the company name, and a listing of their menu (???) taking more space than the discussion of the company history. This ad needs a lot of work, including the addition of pertinent information, a rewrite to eliminate weaseliness, some legitimate sourcing, and elimination of the menu (which has no place in an encyclopedia, for cryin' out loud, and which changes so frequently that we would have to have an on-call rewrite team to handle it). Nutritional Information?

Yes thats true. When I last worked, which was before classes resumed, all I had to show people about nutrition was an outdated list of subs w/ carb information. On the website, they show full info for two subs [1] and provide a link to contact them about nutrition info. Darry2385 23:13, 5 November 2006 (UTC)

Something wrong in the article

Mmmm...TOASTY!

You know what I don't get: the announcer says "mmm...mmm...mmm...mmm...mmm...(five times)" when the slogan clearly shows it four times. It's like an add on to the slogan. In fact, do the math here

It seems that the quiznos comercial that has a woman saying "It's not lacking any meat.. and that's what real women need", has gotten alot of attention and reaction on many blogs, forums, and other sites, and there is even a ytmnd site based on it. see this google search (with about 12000 hits) to see some of the attention the comercial has gotten. Blogs, forums are just people talking. a ytmnd site can be put together in seconds on anything, most seem that way. If you have credible cited sources of contorversy keep it in. Ive tagged it for sources now. A significant response, even if just from viewers, seems worth mentioning. I'm sure there are other sources beyond forums and blogs, but either way, significant public response is still notable. hundreds of blogs and fourms, YTMND sites, and YouTube videos that make fun of it, all show fairly significant public response.. seems notable to me. Sorry, but this cannot be included in the wikipedia article unless you have a better source. I tried to edit the Washington Mutual article to include information on their recent "banker's pen" commercials being racist because the 20-or-so boring, old-style bankers are all white, while the cool, younger spokesman, Bill, is black. A lot of blogs reflect this opinion, but unless a 'real' source includes it, it can not be included because the reference is not sufficient. Same applies to this situation. Furthermore, you do not even site a blog (which would still not be enough), rather you cite three google searches. Certainly does not count as research or a references. I have deleted the following:

End of the article

whats going on at the end of this article?

The published values for the "small turkey lite" from the healthy menu show 1909 mg of sodium, which comes close to the U.S. recommended daily allowance. This is actually a cover-up, however, as the real reason for he lack of nutritional information is the presence of the AIDS virus in Quiznos seasonings. The Australian Quiznos, by contrast, publishes nutritional information

Etymology of the name Quiznos

As an employee, it's quite common knowledge that the word Quiznos is gibberish made up to sound cool (much like Kodak or other similiar brand names). However, there's no source or hard facts to back that up, as we heard it from our manager who heard it at Quiznos University in Denver, so I can't update the article with that information.72.197.141.202 07:44, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

Refusal to release nutrition facts

This section contains the following self-contradictory sentence:

United States Quiznos consistently refuses to release the nutritional data of nearly all of its products.[12] Although, as of Nov. 2nd, 2007, all nutrition information is available at all Quiznos Subs locations.

Can we remove this sentence, or clarify it to make it less nonsensical?

Coyote

I can't think of why the material about the wandering coyote should be part of this article. It doesn't add anything to our knowledge of Quizno's -- heck, it doesn't even add anything to our understanding of coyotes. Quizno's or Quiznos?

Should this article be moved from "Quizno's" (with apostrophe) to "Quiznos" (no apostrophe)? The rest of the article, as well as the Quiznos.com web site, show it without an apostrophe.
