Content Removed[edit]

The following content was recently removed from the article by 67.248.112.208 (talk · contribs) and 67.240.24.144 (talk · contribs):

On 12 June 2009 two students at the school were arrested on drugs charges.<ref>{{cite web|url=http://www.northcountrygazette.org/2009/06/12/queensbury_drugs/|title=Drug Arrests At Queensbury High School|date=2009-06-12|publisher=North Country Gazette|accessdate=2009-07-15}}</ref>

The only reason given was "unnecessary information." The content was cited to a reliable source and passed Wikipedia:Verifiability. The history section is sadly lacking in information, and this was one of the few pieces of sourced info I could find, and while it looks a little odd just having this and the founding date their, it was otherwise appropriate. The solution to this issue is to expand the section with more verifiable content, not to delete existing info. Unless a solid policy or guideline based reason is given here for deletion of this information I will be resorting it shortly. If the information continues to be removed without explanation, due to choice of information to remove, it may be treated as censorship, which is not considered acceptable. Okay, long enough has been given for a response, restoring now. Camaron · Christopher · talk 19:46, 19 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
A high school having a drug bust, while interesting, is not all that notable. Every high school in my hometown had a drug bust while I was in school. It doesn't really tell us very much of use about the school itself. And unless the teachers were dealing the drugs, it's not particularly unusual. High school being a microcosm of the city at large, most individual arrests are just not that notable. Wikipedia isn't censored, but we shouldn't give undue weight to things either. If you have an argument as to why this factoid is, in fact, notable, I'd be interested to hear it. But for the time being, I have removed it. --GentlemanGhost (séance) 14:22, 6 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
