Proposed Split[edit]
- The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section. A summary of the conclusions reached follows.
An editor has BOLDLY split the Fleet section in to a new article. It has been disputed and I am posting to the talk page. This split requires CONSENSUS per WP:BRD. // Timothy :: talk 07:44, 19 April 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose Split. Unneeded CFORK. // Timothy :: talk 07:46, 19 April 2023 (UTC)
- Per WP:SPLIT the section is too long to navigate within the article and thus should be split. SurferSquall (talk) 07:52, 19 April 2023 (UTC)
- In addition, this fleet section for some reason contains information about Qatar Executive, which is already its own article SurferSquall (talk) 07:57, 19 April 2023 (UTC)
- You are right about Executive, and the information was already in the article as well. I removed the duplicate information. // Timothy :: talk 08:05, 19 April 2023 (UTC)
- If the article was split, I could add image galleries as I have done with All Nippon Airways fleet and Korean Air fleet SurferSquall (talk) 08:29, 19 April 2023 (UTC)
- Do not just add gallery images, we haven't reached a consensus with it. To everyone else, I've opened a talk discussion at [[1]] if you want to add any input regarding galleries. VenFlyer98 (talk) 01:55, 20 April 2023 (UTC)
- This isn't about gallery images. SurferSquall (talk) 02:15, 20 April 2023 (UTC)
- I was replying to you mentioning gallery images? I know the main discussion point isn't, but I was responding to your one comment about it. VenFlyer98 (talk) 00:34, 23 April 2023 (UTC)

I have reverted both of your edits since the mass removal of content does not seem to be encyclopedic. Please use this talk page to discuss them before making further such changes.--Jetstreamer Talk 11:52, 19 April 2023 (UTC)
- per WP:SPLIT the fleet section is too long for some readers to read/navigate comfortably and thus I split it. SurferSquall (talk) 14:22, 19 April 2023 (UTC)
- The only information I removed was in the fleet section, to split the article. Not sure what else you are referring to SurferSquall (talk) 14:27, 19 April 2023 (UTC)
What I am proposing is this: leave a brief summary of the fleet on the main page, and create the separate fleet page. see Lufthansa or United Airlines for an example.

Lack of imagery in fleet section[edit]
I believe that a gallery of images in the fleet in necessary in the article (just like in every other airline article).
Otherwise why not create a new "Qatar Airways fleet" article? Developments are significant enough. Yoohhooy (talk) 16:59, 17 March 2024 (UTC)
- @Yoohhooy Well it's worth trying an AFC. Mseingth2133444 (talk/contribs) 02:44, 18 March 2024 (UTC)
