Decorative element[edit]

A lintel can also be a purely decorative element, especially once a more global view of architecture is recognized rather than just Western or Greek/Roman. The article lintel (architecture) was written because the view of Post and lintel is too narrow for many uses in other architectures of the world. --Mattisse 19:57, 4 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

working on edits[edit]

I find the usage here needs editing. I am going to use this space as a sandbox until I get it together. I made several changes including the removal of two images which did not show post and lintel construction and so were confusing or misleading.
