External links modified[edit]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Planned extension of the Helsinki tram network. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Shall we update this for 2023?[edit]

The current version is rather out of date, and File:Helsinki_tram_map_planned_2010-2025.png is really out of date. The situation by May day 2023 is approximately this:

  • The extension of line 9 from Pasila to Ilmala opened this past winter.
  • The Raide-Jokeri light rail line is almost complete: they're test driving trams on it, with it becoming operational perhaps already by this upcoming summer.
  • The construction of a tram line in Kalasatama is no longer merely "planned"; the Kalasatamasta Pasilaan project got some rails in the ground in Kalasatama a few weeks ago, and there are a bunch of diversions in Pasila over the summer to connect those lines with the new ones. Tram line 13 should start operation in 2024, if they stick to the schedule.
  • The Kruunusillat project is well underway, with multiple bridges having their decks cast this year.

This article has portions that are up-to-date (the Jätkäsaari portion isn't too bad, for instance), but other bits are like 10 years out of date – or at least, they feel out of date, with all those dates in the 2000s. I don't have the time at the moment to go through and update the entire article, though. — oatco (talk) 23:56, 25 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I did some updates in Special:Diff/1168261460, but it still needs quite a bit more.
  • [1][2][3] are good possible sources.
  • The Vihdintie light rail project needs a section.
  • [4] mentions a possibility for a further expansion of line 9. Not sure if that needs a mention, and if that wasn't there I'd completely remove the Ilmala section from this article at the moment.
