Untitled[edit]

I need some help here; I can tell just from listening to the song "The Kraken" that one of the organ lines bears a very, very strong resemblance to the opening and most memorable organ line from Bach's Fugue in D Minor. Unfortunately, I cannot find any "official" source that can be cited. Does anyone know of one? I mean, it should be pretty friggin' obvious to anyone who's heardthe Fugue that there's a similarity to it, but you know how it is. "No original research." Maybe you listen to Bach's fugue one more time, there's no resemblence at all. Or maybe all organ music resembles Bach's Toccata & Fugue.  VodkaJazz / talk  13:56, 25 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Ahem, actually the first half a dozen notes or so of the Kraken theme are identical. Ours18 04:07, 4 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Recorded in 2002?[edit]

The article says that the Dead Man's Chest score was recorded in 2002. I find this hard to believe, as the first movie wasn't even out at this time. Can anyone confirm the actual date?

Preveiw tunes.[edit]

When I showed my English teacher the preveiw for Dead Mans Chest, she identified the Latin music in the background as the Carmina Burana. Can anyone else comment on this? Jack Sparra 14:07, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Can you give a link to where said preview might be downloaded? I don't recognize anything from Carmina Burana on the CD, but the preview might be different. SpectrumDT 00:00, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Carmina Burana has been mimicked in a lot of music, though not nearly as much as many say it is. The DMC soundtrack never directly quotes the piece. Datameister (talk) 03:13, 25 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
