Blatant POV[edit]

The sentences "It is important to remember that Squaw Peak and the area around it are open, undeveloped desert areas. Please use care" show a blatant human oriented POV, especially the "Please use care".

Rattlesnakes and other animals in the sonoran desert fauna need food too. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.222.193.42 (talk) 20:35, 17 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Blatant inaccuracy[edit]

The comment mentioning that most people do not make it up the hill is completely incorrect. Having hiked the summit trail over 2000 times over the last 15 years I can tell you from first hand experience greater than 75% of hikers go to the top. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.208.202.150 (talk) 05:25, 16 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed, and added a longer hike time for beginners. 71.194.38.54 (talk) 08:33, 14 November 2009 (UTC)Larry Siegel[reply]

Images[edit]

I removed the pair of wide photos that were used in this article. To be sure they are "pretty" photos but cause a lot of awkward formatting in the article due to their unusual dimensions, and are not exactly pertinent to the article; a photograph of the mountain itself is needed, not pretty views from the peak. No objections if anyone wants to re-add one or both, but they should be located in an image gallery at the bottom rather than disrupting the format of the article text itself. Who says?[edit]

Who says the hike takes 30-60 minutes? I and many people on the mountain do sub 30's on a regular basis. And there are some people who take over an hour. So is 30-60 minutes the first standard deviation from an average hiking time of 45 minutes? I think the article should be updated to reflect the fact that these are not precise estimates. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.208.98.49 (talk) 17:47, 20 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
