The statement "He was among the first scientists to publish on climate change" in the career section should be proven with references. If I do a search on ISI Web of Knowledge, the very first scientific paper discussing climate change is a paper from 1989, published in the journal Climatic Change. This gives the impression that climate change was already an issue before Vellinga started to publish on it. If these publications cannot be found in scientific databases they need to be cited, according to the rules of Wikipedia. MythBuster13 (talk) 19:04, 12 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
